I'm so sorry for your loss, Cornelia. How sad to lose your mentor/research partner/friend. I just got back from Scotland and saw the famous golf course in St. Andrews. It made me think of you and Bessie and I wondered if she ever got to play abroad. In researching that, I was saddened to read that she died at only 32. So tragic. On another note, the landscape in the Scottish Highlands was so tranquil and lovely, it reminded me of the the beautiful images you post.
